In its continued foray into the realm of free games, Amazon Prime is expanding its partnership with EA. It seems Amazon is trying to compete with other digital storefronts like Epic Games, as well as subscription services like Xbox's and PlayStation's. In June, Amazon Prime members could claim Battlefield 4 for free, and in July, both Battlefield 1 and Battlefield V were available for free for a limited time, as well. These game giveaways by Prime Gaming follow in the footsteps of the company's Battlefield franchise giveaways earlier this year. Last week, Crystal Dynamics and Prime Gaming announced they would be offering Rise of the Tomb Raider for free for Amazon Prime members starting November 11, in celebration of Tomb Raider’s 25th anniversary. Now, Amazon Prime has more free options to choose from, including some of EA’s biggest hits. Xbox Game Pass, PS Plus, and the Epic Games Store have monthly free game offerings, and Amazon has recently jumped on the bandwagon with its Prime Gaming giveaways.

Handing out free games has become a trend for gaming subscription services, with several offering a regular stream of titles free of charge. Prime Gaming and Electronic Arts are offering Dragon Age: Inquisition and other EA games free for Amazon Prime members.
